4 powerful link building strategies for SEO in 2021
Backlinks are links to your website from other websites. Websites with lots of backlinks have a better chance of showing up on the front of search engines like Google and Bing. Building backlinks is one of the many necessities you can implement in a SEO strategy. Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of bringing a site to the front page of search engines.
This article is meant to educate users on link building strategies that are currently being used today. Backlinks should not be the ONLY tool you have in your SEO strategy, you should implement many different affordable SEO services for a better chance of ranking a website to the front page of google.
#4 Guest post
A guest post is a post you write on somebody else’s blog. What I do personally is I look up my competitions backlinks using Ahrefs. Here’s an article I wrote on how to use ahrefs to learn the basics of competitive research. Once I can see their backlinks, I click a likely candidate that’ll allow me to write an article for them and insert a link to my site. Once I write the article I reach out and ask if they would like the article for completely free.
This usually works because a lot of bloggers are pretty lazy and looking for new content anyways. So far every article I’ve written has been picked up. Sometimes the site owner tries to charge to post the article, when this happens I just give the article to somebody else who might want it. It does not take too long for someone to pick it up.
#3 Guest Author
A guest author is actually what I’m doing on this article here. It’s where you write an article on somebody else’s page and add a link to an article on your site. Keep in mind there’s no need to spam the page with your site link just add it in the article somewhere. Go ahead and try this on a site like this. Try to keep the article related to the topic you’re backlinking to.

Press release (PR) is like playing with a loaded gun. If you try to publish press release and google notices that you paid for PR with bad links they can actually lower your sites rankings. If on the other hand your article gets picked up by news outlets than it can do wonders for your site. If you’re going to purchase PR than I recommend using cision.com. They are probably the most legit PR resource you’ll find. Stay away from fiverr and any other outlet that will send your article to horrible media outlets that google marks as spam or untrustworthy.

Business listings are extremely important because they give your site the trustworthiness necessary to rank on search engines. A business listing is where your business is listed on a website. Some sites where you can place your business listing are yelp, yellowpages, and MapQuest. Yext has a whole service where they set up your business listings for you.

I could have filled this article with a bunch of sloppy ways to build backlinks but all others are pretty outdated and ineffective. if you stick to these four strategies you should be fine.
